Beginner Fashion Sewing, Level 1: Pajama Bottoms (for teens & adults)
Start learning to sew garments and clothing for yourself or your family! Using the "Carolyn Pajama" pattern, this multi-session class is geared for new sewers to develop the skills and techniques to build the foundation for successful garment construction.
Join us for Level 1 to construct comfortable pajama bottoms and learn the basics of pattern reading and garment construction.
Level 2 (purchased separately) will focus on more sophisticated techniques to create a thoughtfully tailored pajama top.

- Sewing machine with all purpose foot; bring all your accessories and manual just in case
- Woven light to medium weight fabric – requirements stated on pattern
- Thread to match/coordinate with fabric
- Waistband elastic (pants)?– 1.8 m
- Thread to match/coordinate with fabric
- Universal sewing machine needle – Size 80 or 90
- Fabric scissors?
- Craft scissors
- Thread snips
- Marking pen (heat sensitive frixion pen)
- Pins and/or wonder clips; pattern weights are nice to weight pattern for cutting pattern pieces
- Hand sewing needle?
- Ruler
- Hot hemmer (nice to have)
- Large Safety Pin
NOTE: Embellish stocks Easy Pattern Interfacing for tracing patterns if you wish to preserve your pattern and trace your size.
