Applique Made Easy: Learn The Fusible Method

Class Description

This class is an introduction to the fusible applique method, suitable for beginners with basic quilting experience.

Fusible appliqué involves using a heat-activated paper backed adhesive (referred to as paper-backed fusible web) to attach fabric shapes onto a base fabric. This technique eliminates the need for traditional hand or machine stitching (although machine stitching can be added to define or decorate applique shapes) making it a convenient and efficient method for creating textile art.

You will learn about the paper-backed fusible web, how to trace, fuse and cut images and then apply design to the backgroundWe will explore various stitches on your machine to embellish and finish applique images.

Wednesday, March 6, 1:00pm - 4:00pm
