Beginner Collaging
Class Description
This beginner level class will teach you the basics of fused fabric collage. Think paint by number with fabric! (The panel will finish at approximately 20” x 20”)
In this class, we will construct a sunflower collage using a pattern printed on a fabric panel. The
pre-printed panel includes squares of applique/collage fabric; more fabric/scraps may be required depending on fabric placement or desired look.

Supply List
- NO SEWING MACHINE REQUIRED DURING CLASS
- Irons will be set up in the classroom – no need to bring an iron
- Sunflower fabric panel and fusible web included with class registration
- Light boxes will set up in classroom
- Teflon Pressing Sheet (will be demo’d during the class)
- Pencil, Pen or Fine Sharpie Marker
- Rotary Cutter
- Straight Pins
- Tweezers
- Sharp scissors for applique (we sell LDH craft scissors with a serrated blade) (other scissors will be available to try and special order)
- Fabric Scraps in ‘your’ sunflower style; you will also have access to the Embellish scrap bin
All supplies and notions available at Embellish, unless otherwise noted.
*Embellish does not stock sewing machines and sewing machine feet or accessories. Please contact your sewing machine dealer for accessories. We can help you source these specialty items if necessary.
