Class Description
Make a set of 4* rolled-hem napkins using a serger!
You likely know the serger can be used to professionally finish edges inside a garment, but did you know it can also be used to create a decorative edge? You can even use a contrasting colour, metallic or variegated thread for added pizazz!
These napkins will feature a rolled-hem, with all raw edges cleanly tucked inside a narrow stitched perimeter. This technique is ideal for curved edges and corners, or when you want to avoid a hem with a lot of bulk. If time permits, you will also learn how to make mitred-corner napkins!
Use this technique to create a fabulous host gift, special feature at your next dinner party, or elevate your dinner game at home!
*Make a set of 4 single layer napkins, or a set of 2 double layer!

For the class:

Bring your own serger, or if you don’t have your own serger, try one of our PFAFF sergers ranging from introductory to high-end and advanced

Please select & pick up your fabric in advance so you can wash and iron it before class

Materials kit will include: fabric and Soft Loc thread (2 additional spools of coordinating required)

What is Embellish Creative Club?
ECC is a monthly class/club designed to spark your creativity! Each month we'll explore a new project and technique. You'll get to explore undiscovered features of your machine, try a variety of high-end machines and tools, learn new skills, and mingle with fellow makers!
The class fee each month will be $30, plus the required materials kit. The kit cost each month will vary with each project. For those who have purchased a sewing machine from Embellish, your class fee is waived and only the materials kit purchase will be required.
