Beginner Fashion Sewing, Part 1
Start learning to sew garments and clothing for yourself or your family! Using the "Carolyn Pajama" pattern, this multi-session class is geared for new sewers to develop the skills and techniques to build the foundation for successful garment construction.
Join us for Part 1 of the class to construct comfortable pajama bottoms. Part 2 of the class will focus on more sophisticated techniques to create a thoughtfully tailored pajama top.

- Pattern: Carolyn Pajamas by Closet Core Patterns (size 0 to 20); Included with class fee
- Sewing Machine with all purpose foot; bring all your accessories and manual just in caseWoven Light to Medium Weight Fabric – requirements stated on pattern
- Waistband Elastic (pants) – 1.8 m
- Thread to match/coordinate with fabric
- Universal Sewing Machine Needle – Size 80 or 90
- Fabric scissors
- Craft scissors
- Thread snips
- Marking pen (Heat Sensitive Frixion Pen)
- Pins and/or wonder clips; pattern weights are nice to weight pattern for cutting pattern pieces
- Hand sewing needle
- Ruler
- Hot hemmer (nice to have)
- Large Safety Pin
