Scales grew up on the streets alone, orphaned, and poor. They had no one to watch over them or to provide for them, so Scales learned to provide for themselves. They fought fiercely over food and kept a constant watch out for other desperate souls who might steal from them. Scales slept on rooftops and in alleyways, exposed to the elements, and endured sickness without the advantage of medicine or a place to recuperate. They survived despite all odds, and did so through cunning, strength, stealth and speed.
Personality Traits
• I ask a lot of questions.
• I bluntly say what other people are hinting at or hiding.
Ideals
• Respect. All people, rich or poor, deserve respect.
Bonds
• I owe my survival to another urchin who taught me to live on the streets.
Flaws
• It’s not stealing if I need it more than someone else.
Zealous

War has been a part of their life for as long as Zealous cares to remember. They trained as a youth, studied the use of weapons and armor, learned basic survival techniques, and was drilled extensively on how to stay alive on the battlefield. After leaving the military, Zealous moved around between several mercenary companies, and trained with a handful of local militias. They all found Zealous … intense.

• I can stare down a hell hound without flinching.
• I face problems head-on. A simple, direct solution is the best path to success.
Ideals
• Responsibility. I do what I must and obey just authority.
Bonds
• My honour is my life.
Flaws
• I too often hear veiled insults and threats in every word addressed to me, and I’m quick to anger.
